How important is the sense of responsibility in women?

I haven't asked an important question in a while, and I hope that GAG sheds light into this one, because this is a point that's always missed in the debate between feminism and traditionalism.. etc.
And I am sure that we all notice that, regardless of what is the way of life of a certain society, or even the relative figure of population between the two genders, a woman's life is not always one of two extremes! There's always intersection between public life and the normal role that must be taken in any household.

But especially women, we all know everything is on a spectrum, you can't generalise that all members of a certain gender must be naturally this way or that way, or had a life experience that qualifies them to this type of responsibility over other ones. But one may notice that ladies tend more to fall into the necessity of taking double roles, or is the one whose most required to have the skill of multi-tasking whether she was a housewife or a secretary, public service employee... etc. And this leaves a lot of question marks around any society regardless of its ideology, way of life, or culture.

And so, just generally asking, should women be same, less, or more responsible than men?

Today's women are definitely more likely than men to put themselves in multiple roles and try to "have it all". And they complain an awful lot about it. But it is the bed women made for themselves and now they have to lie in it.

Women changed the rules of the game and just expected men to continue to enthusiastically continue to play along by their new set of rules. They expected men to be just as excited about taking on the traditional female jobs as women were about taking on men's. But it hasn't panned out as they thought, and they blame men for that. It was a big (and naïve) gamble, and women lost the bet. In fact, we all have lost. Society as a whole is worse off now than before all the changes, but many people, and women in particular, are either too naïve or too dishonest to connect the dots.

Today we see western society speeding like a freight trane toward the cliff. In the US the birth rate continues to decline precipitously, and most people are too ignorant to understand how that will ultimately destroy society. Gender relations are at an all time low, women are angry at men for not playing the new game by their rules, men are increasingly angry and checking out of society, mass shootings are almost a daily occurrence, and people seem far more interested in complaining about the symptoms than treating the underlying illness.

Do women have more responsible than men? Some do, because they choose to, and because women who came before them made that choice for them. Should men take on more of "women's responsibilities" because women chose to take on men's? We can debate that point for as long as we want, but it's never going to happen to the degree women think it should, and it my opinion it's shouldn't. Women have made their bed here.

I'm not sure what you mean.
Of course people, both men and women, should behave responsibly when they are in relationships. They should be able to trust each other. They should have a strong work ethic.

Are you asking if it's best for women to stay home, raise the children, do all the cooking, cleaning and household chores, and submit to the man as the head of the household, versus women having an education and careers, and being equal partners?

I wasn't ready to get married and have kids until I was in my mid-30s. I wasn't looking to marry a virgin under 23 years old and get her pregnant. So that's me.

Every one of my girlfriends after high school had jobs, their own places to live, and supported themselves. I admire that. They wanted a male partner because they were very feminine and heterosexual. They wanted a man who they found sexy but also whom they could admire and respect and who admired and respected them.

It might be best if a parent is around full time when there are kids. Even still, I can't imagine a woman allowing her partner to be the boss.

But not everybody wants kids. And two incomes can be really beneficial to couples who don't have kids. It can even be mentally and emotionally fulfilling. My wife of 26 years and I fall into that category. We're both independent people who think for ourselves. But we're also best friends and partners. We make decisions together. We share chores. Our incomes are for our mutual benefit and to build a future with each other.

We treat each other as equals and we trust each other completely.

I prefer independent women as long as they aren't bossy.
