Quick background: This girl and I are good friends and have great and long conversations when we have the opportunity. We live in different parts of the country and we text from time to time (I'm too afraid to text her too often for fear of coming off as desperate). We met a couple of times at two separate events this summer, and I'm starting to wonder if she might have feelings for me. Here is what I picked up on.
1. We both attended the events with our friends (or I did at one of the events, and knew a few at the other). She is an outgoing girl and talks with a lot of people from everyone she knows and made some new friends as well. But never took any initiative to talk to me, we smiled at each other every time we saw one another generally from afar. And I for the most part take the initiative to talk to her.
2. She also mentioned at one of the events that she noticed me running around a lot (I had stuff to do) even though I never tried to make her notice me
3. She has mentioned indirectly that she is there for me
4. When I complimented her face lit up like I had never seen before
5. When I asked her about how her summer had been, she turned the conversation within minutes to my family and childhood
6. As mentioned, she is an outgoing girl and seemed flirty to other guys to the point that it looked like she was in a relationship with one of them at one point. When I asked her about it she said no almost before I was done asking her. She asked me afterward what I would say if she said yes
7. After I asked her she seemed to be a bit nicer to me. The day after she talked with someone and when I walked by her, she said hi to me and we had a little chat, she ended up turning and facing me in that conversation between the 3 of us
8. When we said goodbye to each other she took the initiative to give me a hug
9. A few days later she posted about her starting a new school, I wished her good luck. She replied thanks and giggled (wrote hihi) at the end of the reply
