Why do some people especially men violently attack crossdressers (male to female) and trans women for absolutely no reason?

In my friend's very early days before my crossdresser friend started HRT and just dressed like a sexy woman my friend got attacked walking down the street by two men, not only was he bruised on the face and neck but he ended up with a broken arm from the fall he took (He was in heels) and the kicks when he was down. It was unprovoked and I still can't figure why they were physically so violent towards him. He said he was too scared to go police and he hated himself for a long time and didn't go outside.

Unprovoked violence against trans women and crossdressers (male to female) is REAL and everyone needs to discuss these things to spread awareness. Your story is REAL and can be validated. Trans victims of violence is more than just a statistic. They are REAL experiences

Why is this in Girl's Behavior? This sounds more like a Society & Politics question. I can move it for you if you'd like or leave it here. Doesn't matter to me. Regarding the actual question... i have no idea why some people can't just let other people be. As long as they aren't pressing their agenda on others than other people need to just leave them alone and let them live their life as they see fit and be happy. I would never attack someone just because they are different. If they aren't bothering me why bother them?

It's homophobia and misogyny. Either they see them as sissy gay men or it's their natural disrespect and hatred for the feminine. Trans and crossdressers think it's "transmisogyny" but it's not. These people aren't perceived as women by their attackers, the attack is because they are men performing the inferior feminity as supposedly superior men.

When I was a kid I used to insult transvestites that I saw on the street when I was on my way home on the school bus. Today I don't do it since I am empathetic with men and I prefer to insult women.

Trans people are rare.

The non-trans men just probably find it unusual and some of them are afraid the woman they might be hooking up with in the future may not tell them she was born a boy.
