Like today something happened and she was really mean and was like oh it’s your fault that’s why it happened and then I told her I’d sleep and she was like yes go to sleep. When I woke back up she was like oh what are you doing I thought you were asleep and she said “you know what if you want to leave me you can leave me”
later on tho we made up and she said she loves me
i feel like she wants to slowly drive me away sometimes but I don’t know. I want to know why someone would want to push someone away

I dont know if you have ever had a friend you didn't end up liking anymore and so you start to let the two of you clash over trivial subjects, to put natural distance between you both...
I would suggest If you feel like she's "looking for opportunities to push you away" she probably is... and you do not deserve that. I have done this to get someone out of my life, but make it more "on them" to quash the guilt a bit.

People would say it is a toxic. But its hard to tel because we don’t really know the tone of her, her expression during that time. Given that for both, it seems like she’s not that serious and was some sorg of covering a smile, it can be she’s actually testing you. She wants to see how you will respond to her, and how much you gonna stand for both of you. But at the end of the day, some would consider such thing as toxic tho
