What do you make of this?

so this girl from my class sent me a follow request on instagram out of the blue. i accepted like 2 hours later and requested to follow - she accepted near instantly. i went on her page and saw a few highlights. The few posts are just her family, but the highlights were divided up into her friends, hobbies, etc but there was one dedicated to a guy with a heart in the name. There is only one picture in this though and its dedicated to his birthday, and its from like a year ago cuddling quite intimately/closely and someone took the photo of them. it is captioned "happy birthday [guys name]❤" and in black and white. this is the only picture in the highlight though, and it is 1 year old. i looked through her other highlights but i only see her + her friends, this guy doesn't ever appear again although other guys do but in non intimate ways, ie. Group pictures. at first, i thought it must mean she has a boyfriend but then i considered it and found it weird so talked to some friends about it, and they said its likely just a past relationship or something because she hasn't posted anything else with him since then. what do you guys think?

Hmm that's kinda a weird highlight for sure bro. Seems like a weird thing to keep up if they're not together anymore, ya know? But like your friends said it could just be an old fling or something.

I'd say don't overthink it too much unless you see other signs she's still hooked up with that dude. Plenty of chicks leave old relationship stuff on their pages even after breaking up, girls be sentimental like that sometimes.

Might not hurt to play it cool and chat her up though, see how she seems to react to you. Feel it out and see if you get any vibes she's still hung up on this guy or if she seems into you. No biggie either way, just feels odd is all. Keep it light and don't make it a thing unless you find out more, you know?
