A happy couple had a huge argument and then they slowly moved away. Now they are just two strangers with no space to even say ‘hello’.
Was there no love or is there still hate?

So, here's my take. Very good looking people struggle with coupling and relationships. The problem is different from average people, their problem is its too easy to get together with someone based souly on looks alone. At first, the dazzle of the perfect partner leaves a person feeling like its love, but, over time the reality of who the person is and what the other partner really needs comes through, but often only after its too late. When this happens, these kinds of couplings fall appart HARD because afterward the people realise their own needs and seek out people who fit them as the deeper person they are.
So that's one thing;
Speaking now for the more average couple; Sometimes less good looking people get to a point where they think to themselves, "hey, maybe this IS my best shot?" and they decide to 'make it work', instead of finding naturally it works. This can sometimes be good, sometimes people really trying to make it work can make for a very special connection, but other times they will wake up after a while to their real needs and again want to disconnect from the wrong connection (extra especially if they find they keep getting drawn back into the relationship that 'nearly worked').
Lastly, when people build the relationship entirely one a single dimension. Over time, people change, and if the relationship was built on one or two strong connections, but those connections aren't the soul of the person (or there is another connection they need but can't have fullfilled by the other side) eventuall people will change and they will suddenly realise, the thing they need they can never get from the person. This last one though, is usuall more rare as people grow older and wiser.
