Female coworker acts really dumb around me, why?

She's has experience in the work we do, but acts really dumb sometimes, and some of the things she asks I know she should already know. I Really don't want something to develop out of this , I want things to stay professional and platonic

Well, there’s only two reasons she’d do this, one is because it’s a very very effective tool to get a guy to like you, or two because she genuinely didn’t know. Is she dumb to everyone else or just you?

I can say I’ve used both tactics, specifically at the gym I was doing an exercise standing that should be sitting because there was no bench and a guy came up to me and said it would be more effective on a bench. Instead of tell him I just didn’t have a bench, I played dumb and he brought a bench over to me so now I had a bench with zero effort. She also may just genuinely be slow. I’m like that, but for me, I’m like that to anyone at work who I know will put up with it to some degree.

If you want her to stop doing it, just be harsh in your responses to her. That’s it. If it sounds like you’re making her feel stupid for not knowing this, she’ll stop. This works for both scenarios.

She doesn't like you or anything. It's a known tactic, just to create gossips, as soon as you make any mistake you are going to turn into a meme.
