Why are women difficult to work with 🤔?

Question

Like I genuinely do not like working with women in a professional setting. They just don’t seem to treat me well. I have been working since I was 16. That was when I had my first terrible experience with a woman. It is just always a hit and miss. Most of the time, it is a miss.
Good women professors in school are a hit and miss, too. Women just play sweet on the outside, but are fake on the inside. Why is this? They are picky and choosy.
Men on the other hand are just simple and straightforward. Which makes them easier to work with.

I am not saying I haven’t had any problems with guys in the work setting, but it was only one guy. Seriously! Just one, but so many women. I am naturally quiet in a work setting, and don’t talk about myself much. I mean, I am just there to do my job, get the money and dip. 😭

Anyways, this is coming from a woman, so it says a lot, tbh. It is so sad.

Women are naturally competitive and shady towards women they deem a threat for male validation. If men treat you well and women are distant and rude, it’s because you challenge their feminine instinct. You’d think that it wouldn’t happen in places where it is all women, but it is even worse. These women are this way because of obvious jealousy. I’ve had it also happen time and time again that all of the women in a department at work despise me, but men love me.
Take it with a grain of salt because these women are miserable. The only way you won’t have to deal with this is to either be in a position of power, or going to a job where you have limited contact with these types of people because unfortunately, you will find this dynamic in almost every regular job you work.

Exactly. Men are more professional and in-control with their emotions. Same with managers/boss. I always get hired by a male boss, but with a female boss.. I have to go through hoops! 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

A few women (not all and not even a majority) tend to be judgmental, can’t keep a secret, spread gossip like wildfire due to their social connectivity, and can hold grudges so easily / you are their bestest of buddies one second then dropped like a hot potato for saying that one thing that set them off.

A lot of women I’d be happy to work with / be with, I’ve seen a lot of hard working ones that got great grades and such / had a head on their shoulders. Women can make great partners to work with, just a small minority are annoying to deal with so make sure you stay away from the crappy ones and stick with the wonderful amazing ones. Don’t bring down a whole gender just because of beef with a few, come on!

Men are used to putting solving a problem first and just getting the job done. They will do their job even if they're at the lowest place in the hierarchy because that's just how we evolved. Men are used to starting at 0 and having to earn respect and earn a better role in whatever group they're a part of.

Women can get distracted by social things that men don't think about during work. I think that's the main reason. Bringing social dynamics that have nothing to do with getting the job done into the work environment.

I think it's also that women have a special status in the world they can get away with things that men can't. That can lead to feeling like you're special, entitlement, pushing the limits, feeling superior etc. Even if it's not conscious or deliberate the way our surroundings treat us has an affect on how we see ourselves and how we behave.

Men will put up with it to a certain degree but when you have two women who both think they're special colliding then it creates problems because neither one is being understanding or accomodating to the other one so they'll both feel like the other one is being rude and not respecting their status as an amazing person.

This is also why lesbian relationships have the most issues out of all types of relationships. Because one person needs to be supportive and put up with a womans behavior for the relationship to work. If both people want the other person to make them feel special and emotionally supported and validated but they're not really into doing the work themselves then it's going to be a mess.

Women can understand another woman better than a man can I'm guessing, but they have 0 interest in taking on a mans role in the relationship because they know it's not fun and games. Where I work the women are always at each other's throats. Constantly. It doesn't end. They can't even joke with each other without a brouhaha. But the men and the women get along quite well. I don't know why. Just last week I had a female co-worker confide in me about a heated argument she had with another female co-worker, going on and on. I don't know what to say. I'm only getting one side of the story. I know and like them both, so I tried to just listen, remain neutral, and told her to let the small stuff roll off her back. The women where I work act differently with us then they do with each other. And I know we're all supposed to be rapists and deviants that are worse than animals according to Tik Tok, but they simply do not treat us like that. We can joke with them and vice versa and everyone laughs. It's very light-hearted. But when women talk to each other, it's always deadly serious for some reason. I see them in huddles around the plant. Serious expressions, like a drama unfolding. Whispers and glares. Hush, hush, looking to see who might be watching or listening. Fuck. What a way to get through a work day..

Agree. Goes back to 2 Million BC. Respect was important to a man's survival. Even today promotions are mostly determined by collegiate respect. Love was important to a woman's. At it's most fundamental women needed support in child birth.

There is a large body of academic work on female power dynamics. Women don't challenge physically as men might do. Typically women attack socially working to isolate another woman who is a threat without appearing to do so. Nice and loving on the outside but cold and cunning on the inside. YT Chris Williamson has done interviews on this. A female pysch said she can almost trust a girl she has been best friends with since 5 yo. Sweet on the outside, fake on the inside was evolutionary advantageous for women.

At work, men tend to form informal teams. I have had enormous work stoushes with other guys. Guess what? We ended up establishing informal teams and being mates outside of work. Because in the stoush we established respect for each other's work.

I have never established an informal team with a female colleague. I might think I have but it has just been an illusion.

One thing on the outside and another on the inside. It will always be thus.

This is crazy cause this has been my experience since I’ve been working at 15 as well my first job I had to woman bosses which is funny considering how many woman I here today complain about not enough woman being in positions of power at jobs and stuff and wage gaps to this day all the jobs I’ve worked at all my blessed have been woman. But I’d digress, most of my experiences have also been bad I think a large part of a reason I got fired from one of my first ever jobs was cause I had a situation with a manager that got upset because she said I told her no. For context everyone had been hanging around chatting with her and I was on my break doing the same. She in a jokingly kinda a way told everyone to go back to work and I joked and said no at lest i think i did this was a long time shoe 10 plus years now Jesus. But I said no ig but I definitely said it in a joking way plus I had like 5 more minutes on my break and then I did go back to work. Next day she calls me Into the office with the mason manger damn near crying cause of that situation I was in shock bro. I just accepted cause back then I wasn’t good at standing up for my self when people had power over me especially jobs.

It could be. Number of reasons. One being their emotions. A lot of what they do is based on their emotions. So if she’s mad, maybe she had an argument w her man or something it’s more than likely going to stay w her all day. When a lot of women say they had a bad day, it really wasn’t that bad. Maybe her boss reprimanded her for something. To most men were ok, like whatever man fuck off lol but when it comes to women it’s like their whole world is collapsing. Not all, but a lot. I work w a lot of women too in medical. A lot of the time they’re always talking behind each other’s backs. This group doesn’t like that group, that ground don’t like this group. They may also see you as a threat too as far as their position at work. Some women feel they’ve had to work harder than men to get their position, so again she may see you as a threat. Some may just hate men. The whole patriarchy. In a lot of cases when women get power they don’t use it for good either in the workplace. Yes some men do it as well. But I see it more so w women toward men. Again maybe because they hate men or feel that they’re better than men. They get this ego that I can tell you what to do. There’s a lot of reasons why. Most men I’ve worked w are more professional. Some unprofessional for sure, but more professional. Which I can say is a lot of men I’ve worked in places like the military for over 10 years, the prisons, security, etc,

Natural selection. The primary thing that sets us apart from the other apes (socially, I mean) isn't group size, but how well our adult males cooperate. You can see this in the sexes' respective dominance struggles. Men, old or young, will throw down briefly and intensely- maybe with words, maybe with fancy displays of power and wealth, maybe with fists- and it's scary but it's short, and then it's OVER. Women, by contrast, will often be polite to one another's faces, but backbite and sabotage, holding grudges for  years .

I think girls often find other girls awkward or difficult to work with, especially if there is some friction as it can get a bit catty. I work with a number of girls who have different roles and positions, when there is any form of clash it seems to be same age group and up or down a level. I get on great with them and the guys.

In my experience it’s been the other way around. I have found it easier to get help with completing tasks, carry conversations, delegate tasks when I need to, etc from girls then from boys. However, I respect that our experiences are different.

I've had the same experience as you. I think women are just more competitive with other women. I don't think they are so much with men though, and men just seem to be more predictable, even tempered and straightforward, as you said. I've had three bosses, two female and one male. The male boss was great, the others not so much.

It's sad because as women we should be kind and supportive to other women, but it seems like that's often not the case.

At beginning of my internship I treated assistants who work with me nicely and as an equal. Most of them are women. It didn't take long I recognized treating them that way is a mistake, because usual girly BS started at some point with fake friendship and manipulation attempts.
Now I treat them like subordinates. If something goes wrong I'm the one who gets the reprimand form professor and it doesn't interest him that it was fault of the assistant.

So far the only time I had difficulties with a woman was at a previous job I had many many years ago.
It had nothing to do with her gender though, it was just the fact that she was an insufferable/ungrateful person overall and she absolutely deserved what I did to her (quitting mid-shift).
On all the other work environments I have been in, I didn't have any issues with women, in fact I felt understood by them.

They're difficult to work with due to insecurities and competition. Women know that this world is shallow and men will almost always likely to pick the healthiest and attractive, youngest woman. Men sometimes will treat women they aren't attracted to like dirt. The same goes for men.

I've also had really cool woman managers and some not so cool. The worst boss I've had was a man, though. I have two jobs right now and both managers are women. I've always found it very easy to work with women so I can't relate, but I'm sorry to hear you've had issues. I'd venture a guess that women are easily jealous or intimidated by other women in the workspace. Dr. Peterson who've studied psychology for decades once stated that men resolve conflict with direct fights, as in actual brawls while the way women fight is way more subtle. They fight with gossip, cold shoulders, passive aggressiveness, which is often way more malicious.
