If he says it's easier to be a woman, it's usually just a case of the grass looking greener on the other side. He's looking at the advantages but ignoring/forgetting to take into account all the disadvantages. However if he pities me for being a woman that's horribly icky.
Look if a guy understands women's struggles, that's great. But đ±đȘđ”đșđȘđŻđš is empty feel-sorry statements. "Damn it must be so hard being a girl/I feel so bad for you/I wouldn't want to be you"- these don't help anybody. Both genders have their pros and cons. There are some negative aspects that come with being a woman but they absolutely do not outweigh all the positives. I'm pretty sure if I started pitying guys for being born as a man they would feel uncomfortable to say the least.
Personally, I appreciate the gender I was born into and wouldn't change it. There are 'female privileges' (just like there are male privileges). People don't act like you're invisible; you're treated specially and noticed everywhere you go (for better or for worse). You can express your emotions freely and almost always receive sympathy. In dating, the pool of choices is abundant right from the startâregardless of the quality of those choices, you always have options. Of course, these are very generalized points and there are outliers. I'm just talking about the average experience.
As I said, there are "negative" aspects to being a woman, but they don't take away from the positives. It isn't an overall "negative" experience that requires anyone's pity. As for the physical pain partâI can either look at it like, "I have to suffer from menstrual pain every month because of the way I was born, life is so unfair," OR "My body is capable of conceiving and growing life, and I have the ability to give birth." âCertainly, periods, labor, and giving birth put a woman's body through a lot of stress. However, above all of that, most mothers feel blessed to have their children and find that motherhood makes them deeply fulfilled.
Home > Girl's Behavior > Polls > Girls, which would you find more annoying: A guy who thinks being female is easier or a guy who pities you for being female?
What Girls Said

Why is it "icky"
He's pitying me, for what? As if being a woman is a disability? Like a fate so horrible that shouldn't have happened to me.
And what about the parts of being a woman that are genuinely debilitating

And what about the physical stuff about being a woman? Doesn't it bother you that you spend 1/4 of your time in some sort of pain?

And would you ever have children?
Yes.
Do you think being a woman is harder?
Yes I think it's objectively harder
Both. I donât need pity and it isnât easier.
A guy thinking itâs easy would annoy me more.
Both are absurdly stupid.
