Why do people act like I smell bad when I shower and test clean?

When I take company-paid Ubers which is every day, the drivers frequently cover their noses or nostrils after I enter. Furthermore, my colleagues often mention that it feels very hot around me, and the children I work with have explicitly stated that I stink.

Despite showering twice daily and testing negative for BV, Candida, and STIs, I am convinced I have a bad odor. My mom denies it and believes the issue is psychological, stating I should see a doctor.

I see my mom putting her fingers under her air nostrils when we are together. I see her opening the sliding door at home so fresh air could come in. I have seen her lit a candle and make comments like "are you cooking fish or chicken".

All this things hurt and I am at a point where I have to leave my comfortable job to work part time at Walmart because I cannot stand people thinking I smell bad or covering their noses. It hurts me deeply and I can't find myself working full time if I continue to stink.

I remember when we went to sign our apartment lease, she drove and I commuted for 1.5 hours using public transit. While we sat across from the leasing agent, she covered her nose. The leasing agent was polite and treated me like a human being. In another instance, we went out to eat and she kept doing the same thing. I just wish she would be honest with me.
