Is this normal? Do you get upset when your girlfriend doesn't want to cuddle with you after sex?

After sex I usually get out of the bed and go brush my hair, or my teeth, or go to the bathroom or something... I ALWAYS leave the bed, but then I come back and my boyfriend is usually sleeping by that time (literally 5 minutes later, lol) So I kiss him on the forehead, put a blanket over him if he's uncovered, and turn on my side and go to sleep.

All of my friends think this isn't normal. They tell me that they cuddle and stuff after sex and that it's a "bonding" moment. Personally, I think if my boyfriend wanted to cuddle after sex he would initiate it. But he always gets this sweet dreamy look on his face and then dozes off to sleep. He looks so content, why annoy him with requests to cuddle? I don't feel the need to. We can cuddle any time.

But all of my girl friends think this is strange behavior.

What do you guys think? Do you get upset when your girlfriend doesn't want to cuddle with you after sex?

What's this insane need for women to HAVE to cuddle after sex? Me and my husband sometimes do and sometimes don't. It all depends. If it's kinda sponteneous, we just kinda sit there and smile at each other for the next half hour. If it's right before bed, half the time we both end up going straight to sleep. If its earlier in the evening, yeah we usually end up cuddling in bed and watching TV. I think if your in a relationship, the sex itself can be a bonding moment. Not everyone is a cuddler, but that in no way makes them abnormal or that there's something wrong with them or their "hiding their feelings".

So...they want you to change what works for you as a couple...and not let him doze off to sleep with that sweet dreamy look that you love to see, and instead ask him to cuddle while you are thinking about how long you should lay there before you can go brush your teeth and hair for the sake of normalcy by their standards?

What do we do? Whatever we feel like...usually he goes to the bathroom, and I putter out to the livingroom to watch tv, and he comes and joins me where we pass out on the couch together. Then he wakes me up, or somehow drags me off to bed.

i guess if that's what comes naturally for you. everyone's different. maybe try to stay with him for 5 minutes instead of getting right up, and see how it goes. I think there is some bonding there. you might like it.

Ask him about it if you are really worried about it...

My guess is that if he hasn't mentioned anything he is probably fine with how things are now.

I think that if you're fine with it, then it's perfectly fine. Sounds like a nice compatible behaviour for both of you.
