When someone keeps their distance from you can that ever mean they are attracted to you?

I have had some recent encounters with a woman that have made me wonder whether she was atracted to me but then on Friday something odd happened that makes me re-think.

I was in a queue and she joined the queue right behind me but stood well back from me. I think it was probably two places behind where someone would normally stand, so she was unnaturally distanced from how you would normally stand from someone in that situation. I'm now wondering if I haven't got it all wrong and I don't just make her uncomfortable. By the way, she still said Hi and smiled at me, but it felt a bit awkward.

There is other things I could mention but do keep thinking to myself that I must be mad and am seeing things that aren't there! Earlier last week I was in the same place as the woman in question and she leaned over to talk to a small child, in doing so she was perfectly aligned to me so that I got a very good view, if you know what I mean. was interested in me, what are the chances of that happening, by accident when I just happen to be the only man in position to notice. I asked another woman I know and she laughed and said that she thinks most women know when they do that because they have the option of bending at the knee and not the waist or holding the neck of their top so that it doesn't gape. To do neither is almost always a choice. Any views on this as well would be appreciated.
