Can you tell when someone is being fake sad or fake crying?

If someone was fake being sad or fake crying do you think you could tell?

XD I saw this one chick crying and she was faking but damn she was pretty freaking good but I knew she was faking because of the circumstance. I usually don't bother with people who are crying..unless...i'm forced. XD So, usually I may wonder why or not care all together. I usually ask if they are okay..if it becomes awkward enough. XD or if I feel bad for them.

Usually no, not until after the fact (e.g. when it is used as a manipulation tactic). That's what makes it scary.

Yeah, the tears and the moaning or crying sounds don't come at the same time...

We had a discussion about that the other day...you can tell because they won't stop no matter what you say to them, or what you do to them. You can try tickling them, pinching them, whatever, and if they still keep crying you know they aren't faking it!

Kids, we know, learn to fake crying to get what they want, but these tests will give them away.
