Why do some girls act giddy and sweet when they like a guy, and other girls act pissy and rude?

Some girls giggle and smile a lot when they like a guy, and act pretty sweet. Other girls are really disrespectful and insulting around guys they like. Does the difference in behavior (sweet or b*tchy) have to do with fear of rejection or self esteem? Girls who act rude are just mad that they have no outlet for their pent up emotion?

The nice girls are giddy and sweet because the guy they like is talking to them and they're just nervous and afraid of saying the wrong thing and all that. Normal stuff.

A lot of girls are narcissistic when it comes to a relationship so if they see a guy they find attractive, they struggle with their desire to be the center of attention in the relationship and their ego interferes with their ability to even compliment another person. These girls would actually go for a lesser attractive guy just so they can feel they are on the dominant end of the relationship.

Plus there is a chance of rejection and they don't want to feel that so they'd rather reject them first before being rejected themselves. A lot of girls can absolutely flip out when rejected and call the guy gay and all sorts of other things.

youre basically being a suck up or distant. I don't see being a suck up as being _more_ comfortable with yourself. esop when you get to the doormat level. its also annoying to be around. id rather be around someone who is quiet than drooling over someone.

you want to see the annoying giggly thing as healthy because you want girls to be sweet to yu. but you wouldn't say a guy is healthy if he's all giggly and giddy because you don't want to have to act that way.

theres nothing healthy in acting idiotic nor in acting cold. both are failures at attempting to control our feelings within a reasonable range of emotion.

No, I think it's about the individual. I think that women that act giddy and dumb probably have just as many issues as the girls who are rude, you just have to pick your poison. I tease guys so I'd probably be considered a bitch in your book haha. Some guys can take it some can't. I think girls who act silly are super nervous and want the guy to like them, whereas the ones who tease or are bitchy KNOW the guy likes them maybe it's a difference in power as well as personality. Who knows. For girls it's really annoying to see other girls act stupid around a guy, it's probably the same for guys who see their friends kiss ass as well.

Well, unless you're in elementary school, girls aren't going to be outright bitchy towards you if they secretly like you. If a girl is being a bitch towards you, there's probably a whole laundry list of reasons why. Having a crush on you more than likely is not on that list.

But, some girls may act distant and cold towards guys they like. Not the same as bitchy. Fear of rejection is the main reason for that.

It's fairly uncommon, but there have been girls who have whined about me nonstop, but as soon as I gave them any positive attention, they'd light up like a Christmas tree and start smiling and giggling. Their emotional and reactive behavior was pretty transparent, but still, there's no excuse for that behavior.

Some girls are comfortable with being hit on hemce giddy and sweet and others aren't for whateverreason hence standoffish. The girls who are used to it probs accept the guy likes them and the other girls probably don't believe a guy could like them or should like them. My opinion :)

I actually know a girl who is being uninterested or is ignoring a guy he likes ,because he actually wanted to talk to her more ! When she acted all sweet ,they haven't talked for a few days.
