@SuccessfulHornDog when they first introduced sports, it was only for children. Then for teenagers in several years then for adults.

The reason why sports exists is because its to stop men from forming groups, and thinking too much.

@Warmapplecrumble Not really. Sports were a thing way back in time. Think the earliest example was wrestling, which was for adults.

No that into sports myself, but I wouldn't say sports are exclusively for children, because they're not.

Our civilisation is just a edited copy of the previous civilisations.

Sport would not be needed in fact majority of entertainment would not be needed if we were in a jungle hunting for food. Yes times are easy now. But this means we are bored and not having anything purposeful to do hence distractions are very important.

Sports are a distraction and is a form of entertainment. No one's saying it's contributing to anything more than that.

No lol you argued that sports were first introduced for kids. Which they weren't. Like I said before, the earliest examples were sports for adults where at those times, civilizations were still not as comfortable like they are today.

Early examples of sport, were to assess whether someone was fit enough to be of service.
This was sport, but not for mere distraction.
Even natives partook in sport and they still hunted to survive and weren't near as comfortable as we are in modern days.

Sure, now that we live more comfortably, sports evolved into entertainment, but what's wrong with that? We now have the luxury to partake in entertainment thanks to the advancements.

Do you want to be hunting in the jungle right now? Because right now, it looks like you're on social media, which is a "distraction", so you're partaking in entertainment yourself. Modern sport is just another example of that. So, again, your argument holds no basis.
