Ikr! I'm reading this and thinking wtf? In my apartment alone it's completely common for everyone to hold doors, elevators, help people move into their new apartment, carry their groceries, offer to take the neighbours trash down. I'm gobsmacked that this is a "feminist" issue in the US when its just considered good manners in my country. lol!

Nope, I subscribe to the idea that adults shouldn't need "nice things" when we should have moved passed the need for somebody else to make us feel special, we have to be able to make ourselves feel special, that is nobody else's job!
You realize that by experiencing pregnancy, your wife contributes $50,000 worth of value, right? (As per the cost of surrogacy)
Yet you won't do anything for her?
Good job I am neither married or expecting a baby then. My partner does absolutely nothing nice for me so I return the favour, seems fair to me.

No more kids, the 2 I have now are more than enough. Sometimes love is not doing nice things but giving each their space and respecting each others rights to be free and independent adults; we are loving to each other but there is no need to do "nice things" for each other when all we both really want is the freedom to operate without the consent of the other.
Did you help out your partner when she was pregnant?
Of course but that is much more expected behaviour as opposed to nice behaviour
