Guys, why would he smile and look down?

Every time I have to do a presentation for class there's this one guy that always looks at me smiles then looks down. The first time he did it I ignored it but it's the third time he does the same thing. Why would a guy smile and look down?

It sounds like he was really interested in you or what you were saying then when you looked at him he remembered that he is supposed to play it cool so he looks away because you busted him. I bet he likes you, go have a conversation with him.

Wow, it sucks when you go to sleep and you forget everything. Let me see... You got a shy guy who squints and he wouldn't have the guts to ask you out even if there were a airplane guy with two sticks pointing towards you and a sign on the floor with an arrow and lights. This is not going to be easy.

First, why not talk to him, find him when he's alone doing something, e. g. smoking. When he's alone, keep an open posture, so don't have your arms crossed for example, keep your face open - how do I say this? Just don't have that pissed off look and he'll unconsciously be aware of it at least?

Next, engage him in a conversation that will garner a lot of his interest, enough so that he'll forget his shyness. Look at him in the eyes, but don't stare, like just make enough eye contact. Give him a few looks here and there in class, and if you see him for the first time in a day, smile. Back to the conversation, once you see his pupils dilate, that means he's interested, but wait for

So now you got him interested and you put him at ease. When he says something like this was a good conversation or I enjoyed it for example, that's your cue to kind of say something here, I'm not sure what. Oh, ask him what he's doing for the weekend or something like that, if you're asking him what he's up to, that's something a lot of guys would have to be pretty stupid to miss.
