Dating an 'ex' player?

Just a simple question about 'players' and dating one!
What are the pro's and con's?
And what does it mean when they tell you everything about their past to let me know who he exactly is?
Is there such thing as change?

Pros: probably good in bed, will have a lot of attractive qualities (impossible to be a player without them), knows he can get another girl so isn't gonna be a spineless doormat

Cons: can be hard to turn off the player mindset e. g. looking at other girls and wanting to approach them, missing the chasing and the challenge of trying to get a new girl in bed. Can struggle to trust good women after seeing how slutty a lot of girls can be, how easily a lot of them cheat on their boyfriends.

If he tells you about his past he probably trusts you, likes you a lot and doesn't want to tell any lies. It's possible for a player to change. I used to fuck around til I met my. girlfriend. It depends on the girl - my girlfrend is amazing. Treats me like a king, is pretty, isn't aslut (yesI know, double standard, but read what i said in cons), isn't over-entitled, doesn't have unrealistic expectations of me. Most girls don't have that, so they aren't worth committing to. If you have, then its definitely possible.

I think is good because I've been a player at some point of my life but we change. If he tells you everything about his past it means he really want you to feel secure to know about everything he has done and so you know he wouldn't do that things to youuuuu xxxxx
