he also got me a toothbrush, a pillow, and a pair of thongs to wear around his house.
GUYS: would you do this for your FWB/fling?

Trending & News Not a guy, but this doesn't sound good. U have to be sure to keep friends with benefits strictly that. Anything more blurs the lines and makes a mess later.
we're undefined. this is really new. we were getting to know each other for about a month and a half, just meeting up once a week, purely platonic, got along really well, texting everyday but i didn't even sense he was interested in me. and now things have become physical we haven't talked about what we are becoming. there's no PDA i think it's because i pull away (he always says i'm negative because i cross my arms). He's offered to pay for dinners but i never let him pay for me because i only let my boyfriend pay for me. i'm just assuming this is a friends with benefits thing since he hasn't mentioned anything about how he feels towards me.
Hmm, honestly it seems like you are moving upward from FWB. By his actions, it seems like he could want more than that, which is good! If past experiences are keeping your guard up, try not to let them effect you to where you push him away. This could be a rewarding experience, but you'll never know if you're not open to it. Try giving it a chance :)
Sure. Maybe also some shower gel/shampoo if he uses the 'manly scented' stuff, so she can still smell like mangos or pomegranates or whatever.
Haha, here's hoping!
Oh, and a towel for her too!
Sure. There is a 'friend' aspect, isn't' there? And having toiletries for you is just common courtesy.
having a toothbrush maybe, but does he need to go out of the way to get a pillow, note i've only been there three times in a month.
They sell pillows and toothbrushes at the same store. He wants you to be comfortable.

I don't see any extraordinary behaviour except he wants to strike 2 targets with one arrow at a time.
what's the second target?
So two guys one girl? the idea of it is a turn on, but i kinda would want to keep her to myself
no, his flatmates girlfriend as well. i just find it weird that after i slept over once, my toothbrush is still there and it has been placed in cup the next time i went. then he said "we should go buy another pillow" and we went pillow shopping. and then the third time i went there was pink thongs (shoes) for me to wear around the house which he said he got for me.
making it comfortable for you, so you dont mind coming round and staying more often.
Yeah see, more often is the worrying part. He's planning ahead. What should i make of this? Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying this too much I don't really want this to transform into a relationship yet. But i guess i just want to know if he genuinely likes me. Because I know myself, I eventually fall. Right now i'm whatever about it, i've never asked him out and he initiates contact like 90% of the time. But i'm afraid that when i fall, he's uninterested, or has always just been after a fling. So i just want to know if there is potential later on his side? Sorry
He likes you and may want to make a relationship out of it at some point. but dont worry just have fun and go with the flow. maybe avoid to many couples type activities for a bit
that's fine you should say I wear the thongs if you wear some too
