Playing hot and cold

Do a lot of girls do this? Guys too.

I'll admit I do this. I know it's a turn-off for a guy to full on chase a girl, it can show you're desperate and that'll scare her away. I try to watch how much I text her, talk to her, etc, and sometimes I like to believe that the whole "hot/cold" act gets her thinking about me, which is a positive.

Sometimes I feel like this girl is doing it to me too. Do a lot of you "bait" guys/girls you like with this method?

What's with this theory anyway? Is there any valid reason to behave this way. Guys, if you like a girl, you can tell her in your own time, if you like. But stop the whole "I like you", one minute and "maybe we'll talk sometime" the next. It's a mark of male insecurity really. There's a fundamental difference between vomitting your feelings all over a girl you are getting to know and connect with on that level, and telling her where you stand. Games are for the immature. This tecnnique leaves people confused and annoyed, and personally will make me want to move on to more honest pastures.

MMMMMMMM crispy bacon I'm having you on toast I think lol. back to the question I hate it when a guy does this it leaves me annoyed because I'm thinking I have done something wrong, plus in the end depending on how much I like the guy sooner or later I will just move on because I don't like it and I will just assume that your not really that interested in me. did I say I hate this yes I think I did, hate this.

I hate this Bait Theory, its so deceitful and can often end up hurting people. Though, I admit I do it as well but not full on leading them on cause I know how much it sucks. Now that I'm a bit wiser in the dating scene, I've come to expect this from guys so I play it safe and know the rules. Most of them chase me :)

I think this is a rather underhanded way of dealing with someone. All it is, in my opinion, is a power play to try and control the feelings of the other person. It's ill conceived and shows a lack of caring for how the person feels.

i personal dislike it, like hippy said.. it makes you think you have done something wrong and question what you have said or the way you acted.. definate annoyance
