Why does ex call instead of texting?

My ex has been playing mind games with my ever since he broke up with me and it's weird because he won't text me he only calls me and then when I try to call or text him he doesn't respond.

Why would he call only?

He does this because he is a cruel asshole who enjoys hurting others. For our own sanity stop responding to him. There are much nicer men available.

Why did you guys break up?

He became distant and just seemed like he didn't care anymore so asked him if he wanted to still be with me and he said "our lives are on two separate paths" and I told him I still wanted to be with him, but he wanted time to think, and two days later he breaks up with me through a text, but ever since then he has been calling me and confusing me.

Don't give him any attention people now a days are too old to be playing games with people's hearts. Either he wants you or not, there is no both. Girls and guys can't be just friends after seeing each other in a relationship type status if that makes sense.

I don't think it's that because when I was still with him we would text all the time and he preferred it over talking on the phone.
