Guys, sorority girls? really?

so there are a ton of sorority girls at my school..

they always seem to have boyfriends

but my friends and I were just debating why guys want to date sorority girls... here at least most, not all of course...but a lot of the girls are really fake, unattractive, literally the same, say like 1,000 times a day and have really annoying voices...

do guys prefer sorority girls more? it just seems that way...

They're no different from other girls though. Take away their pledge badges and Greek apparel and no one would know the difference. If guys find them more attractive, they either like those girls' personalities to begin with, or they're stereotyping them. Which, by the way, is what I think you're doing. I know plenty of sorority girls who can easily be written off as being the way you described, but if you actually get to know them, they're not like that at all.

sorority girls have a stereotype of being outgoing, promiscuous party girls. I am in no way saying they all are like that, some sorors are very sweet but that stereotype is gonna attract a lot of guys in college that want to have fun and party. if a girl is fake, annoying and rude she isn't getting a guy because of her personality that's for sure. that is nothing to be envious of. they may get a lot of guys but quantity is not always better than quality <3

The thing about sorority girls is that you know what you're getting. She's a fun, not so intelligent girl who is comfortable with altering her own personality and physical appearance to suit the tranquility of the herd. That makes her more malleable and easier to control. So if you're looking for a fun lay for a week or two, a pretty face to have at your side that you don't have to take seriously, or a trophy wife to bare you attractive young and remain dependent upon you, they're a great choice.

Of course I'm generalizing, but for the most part I'm pretty sure this is accurate.

I’m a sorority girl in a top house at arizona state so I think I can answer your question. Once boys and girls who have a decent amount of money go to college, their main focus is to get involved in anything social (greek life) and find other people who share similar lifestyles. Most of the boys who go for sorority girls are pretty much just like them. Every frat at my school represent different levels of prick: some have money, others are smarter, the rest are not that attractive and a little more odd compared to the rest. Once boys enter greek life, their worlds turn and they’re going to take what they can get - once they get a really pretty girl and let her go… they’re gonna attempt to go even higher after that. Some guys will even start getting super buff because their looks might not do the job so they might as well be huge and sorority girls like that (appearances/whatever looks hot enough). Overall, it has more to do with this demographic of boys and how they’re into these type of girls because that’s all they’ve ever been around/are around or will forever be around. A lot of their moms were in sororities too so boys will go to college already knowing what they want because it’s familiar. So many sorority girls I know don’t have boyfriends and are as annoying as you describe if that helps. I lived in the sorority house for a year and I realized that everyone’s so indulged in greek life (frat guys dating sorority girls instead of a non greek) because that is all they have or involved in. I think it’s becoming more known how superficial these girls can be because they carry it out with them even after college so they’re not being as sought after. Unless you’re hot and in a good sorority… I wouldn’t expect much of this attention. Otherwise, don’t take it personal because it’s more about them then it is you.
