Why would someone put a space before an exclamation mark when texting?

Sometimes, the auto correct does it by itself. Also, it could have been something they deleted and didn't notice it left the exclamation so far. I am guilty of both.

Maybe they originally intended to say something else or maybe the auto-fill feature inserts a space automatically after every word? I don't know.
