the beards, the mucles, the big bodies, the height, the rough voices, the rough hands, that little cave man inside, the roughness, the chivalry, the assertivness, the masculinity... TESTOSTRONEEEEEE !!!

WHERE THEY AT?
a lot of guys these day seem so soft and feminine (on the outside mostly), and mens fashion seems to be going that way as well
whyyy?
and its the opposite with women, the type being promoted is the more masculin-ish woman... but this is about dudes :P

but yea back on point... why are men getting more inclined to be more feminine and women to be more man like? what is it these days? the fashion as well...

Realistically, there must be a million reasons for this, but I'd suggest that part for this is that the first world war bought about huge structural changes to society, with the mechanisation, dominance of knowledge and technology, and strive towards efficiency with nations competing against each other and the furtherance of globalisation.

To cut a long story short, society has strove to ever increase its productive capacity, so women now work. Historically, in many cultures of the world, women have been dependent, passive creatures, this a patriarchal society. This has naturally led to a lot of resentment and bitterness. So women have desired to become independent and respected, because... who likes being dependent. The problem is, we still haven't gotten past this false dichotomy, this understanding of yin and yang. If one is yang, ie aggressive, expansive, non reflective, then this is naturally at the expense of yin qualities: ie reflectiveness, passiveness, little in the way of action. Society is structured as such, that one can really only succeed, in business most overtly, if one is avaricious, aggressive, dominant, etc. So women have taken on male characteristics, as a necessity to succeed. The vestiges of patriarchy remain. If you like, women are 'playing' with male characteristics.

The reverse is probably true with men. Those qualities simply aren't valued and cultivated in men, we're no longer a physical society. One is often shamed for embodying a man. Women love a man knows how to 'play' with them and not fawn over them, but this is not how we're conditioned to interact with women. It's too sexual and objectifying, we're told. It's too imbalanced towards knowledge and... bitchiness...

I'd really say two things in response to your question. Personally I think one should be able to shift into, and play with both sides. Unbalanced personalities are not cool. Yin and yang theory states that extreme of one eventually causes one to shift and go to the extreme of the other. So we're in an ever switching cycle. Obviously, we're in a male feminine cycle, but it'll grow so extreme, that we'll grow so tired of it, that eventually we'll switch back.

I'm sure you can still find men to give you a good fuck, though...

No idea where they at. But I agree with u that men nowadays are becoming more 'feminine' in fashion and personality too. Honestly i hate when guys wear super bright clothes that a female could wear. Also the light-coloured tight jeans? Just to add on guys that I know are really sensitive -c'mon touching up. We need more masculine men for sures.

Personally, I'm glad to see that femininity is finally being embraced by the male gender. I mean I don't dig guys who are basically women in the wrong body, at least not romantically, but it's good to see that it's becoming more socially acceptable for men to show their feminine side.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of the pressure to make the sexes converge. Sorry--I'm not buying into it no matter how hard society moves that way. I'm a man, not a woman and unlike Bruce Jenner, I have no interest in becoming one. Also, I like girly girls--not manly women. If a girl wants to be more manninsh--that's fine with me. Happy to be drinking buddies with her or work with her, but not going to be attracted to her.

I think the main two reasons why men are more feminine is because of the extreme liberal movement that's going on and the food we eat that reduces testosterone and increases estrogen. The funny thing is that a lot of guys ARE big at young ages. Kids now days are much bigger than they used to be. Women as well. It's not a good thing, but that should work in your favor. Also, I don't think I'm feminine but I'm not tall or rugged or have rough hands or a beard. Chivalry? I definitely don't have that. I can't stand that shit.

As to your question about why men are becoming more feminine and women more manly well you can blame society the media and their fucked up ideology for that. I for one have no desire to become feminine and I have no idea why and self respecting man would.

I think it comes from people being programmed to be more androgynous, so now you have more feminine men and more masculine women. I'll still be a masculine rugged man though because that's who I am even though I get occasional hate for it.
