What does it mean if a guy adds you on snapchat?

So there's this guy who asked me for my snapchat (sends me a snap about twice a week) but I'm not really sure what he thinks. Our friends ship us because he rarely talks to other girls but often start a conversation with me. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do because eventhough he sends me snaps, he doesn't reply back when I respond. I want to know whether he likes me or not because he's kind of a quiet person but is actually funny in the inside so I cannot really tell. I caught him looking at me about twice but I have no idea what he thinks. What are signs that he might show if he likes me?
