He'll give up and stand back. Shyness is rooted in lack of confidence and fear. If he's shy in the best of times he's going to be crestfallen when you flirt with other men. Shy guys aren't used to being loved. The idea of their unattractiveness is firmly entrenched enough that they believe that if a woman is friendly to them there must be some mistake. They'll look for an alternate explanation of her actions because they believe that a girl being in love with them is completely implausible.

If you try to make him jealous he'll retreat farther into his defeatism. When he sees the girl he desires flirt with another guy he'll think he was stupid to even think he had a chance. If you're trying to get this shy guy, I don't suggest doing this.
