More an instinct rather than obligation
And it works both ways for Women protect/provide men just as much in different ways
Only the woman they agreed to protect and provide for.
If he didn't agree, the hell with them bitches!! lol.
This isn't hard, only a boy would say no. A real man's morality is rooted in these principles regardless of popular opinion.
ultimately, MOSTLY. women also need to understand monetary value through effort. this gives them chance to polish
He's not OBLIGATED to. But if you want to get anywhere with women, you have to at least show that you're able to protect them.
No that's stupid. In this day and age, both men and women are capable of providing for themselves as well as eachother. The man does not have the obligation to protect and provide for the woman.
Yes, because women have an obligation to cook and clean up after a man.
Yes and women have an obliogation to stay home, raise children and cook.
If you are married and she has an illness that prevents her from doing things, yes.
No.
Humans have an obligation to protect and provide for each other.
The fuck should i?
I have an obligation to care about my wife, or girlfriend but the rest can fend for themselves.
Hell fucking no. We aren't responsible for anyone else other than ourselves and our loved ones. We have no obligation to anyone else.
They do have an obligation towards their family if we are talking religious or traditional
Very traditional.
@sweetlivy I think they have a legal obligation to their families in many cases, even without the double whammy of religion and tradition. But the exactly same standards apply to women just the same. Women are equally obligated to their families and when they fail in that, the law should treat them the same as a man.
@MlleCake Truth! :)
yes and no. i would more say everyone should just look out for and protect everyone but since every thing was so different back then, men are still somewhat held accountable for everything.
I don't think anyone has an obligation to do anything. People should do things because they want to.
Obligation to protect yes...
Obligation to provide No
Insofar as women are obligated to cook, clean, rear children, and get pregnant frequently.
She should be glad that I would even decide to be with her, I don't need all that.
for women i care for, such as my mother and so: maybe
for all random women, most of which i don't even know: not at all
Yes thats how is it from the beginning off Adam and Eve
Only if they're married or in a stable relationship. Or, you know, if they have children.
Nah, unless it's your wife or daughter.
What then are the wife and daughters obligations?
The wife's are the same. The daughter's obligations are respect and obedience I guess.
Okay, just curious on your thoughts. Thanks man.
No worries ma dude.
Nobody has an obligation.
where all the women at?
LMAO exactly
I say yes and no because both parties or one could take the others kindness for weakness. and abuses that advantage it happened to me.
No. I will never provide for a woman because i'm not stupid.
Why did most people say no?
Because there is a difference between obligation and willingness to do so. No man is obliged to protect and provide for any random woman. Marriage is a different story. But I would say that most men have a willingness to help out women. Their motivations and expectations of it unfortunately vary.
@Botchie I think you are generally correct. Most men are inherently decent people, and that is why we fall in love with them, because most people I know, know how to sacrifice cheerfully in an interplay of equal exchange when it is needed for the good of the relationship. I am reminded of the old adage, "Would you rather be right? Or would you rather be happy?" and we don't waste our time on petty squabbles over things that don't matter. Like, "are the dishes stacked wrong in the dish drainer a big enough problem that I need to make him feel bad?" And the answer is - no, of course not. Let's save our arguing for something significant and try to get along the rest of the time.
@MlleCake Amen! A much more thorough explanation than I can give.
Not about that sugar daddy life
No. Take care of yourself.
Women in general? No. His wife? Yes.
They're not obligated to do anything
It is the current year so no.
only if she's your daughter
I dont. I couldnt give a shit.
Protect: yes
Provide: no
@LittleAmyP
Women are just as obligated to protect men too. There's many ways to protect.
@tugg-A I agree with that
I really like the women and go out for long walks with me
To your wife and mother of your kids yes.
only his mother and sister and thats it
Yes, to the women in our lives. Absolutely
I will. Is it an obligation? No.
Protect&/provide if and when reqired
yes, ofc.
Interesting to note, when I said women have an obligation to support men emotionally and through sexual relations men were unanimous in their upvotes. When I said on this thread men have an obligation to provide for and protect their women it was near unanimous downvotes from men. Pretty much affirms how I view a lot of the men on this website. They want something for nothing.
The bottom line is, in a healthy relationship both partners have obligations to provide for one another. It's that simple, emotional, sexual, safety, financially. Any one that denies those obligations to one another have no concept what a relationship is.
Nope.
No..
CT, do you want mho?
