He totally hasn't had a girlfriend. You can tell because he said that he wouldn't know what being in love feels like. And his friend said how he doesn't have to be in a romantic relationship to feel love, so she obviously knows he hasn't been in a relationship. And then its even more sure that he wants to be in love, be in a relationship and have a girlfriend because he clearly states that at the end in that Christmas sentence. He deff hasn't been in a relationship. I dont think a guy would be/could be in a relationship without feeling loved or being in love... in the tense he used.
