How long do guys hold grudges against girls?

Okay, I was once sick on an evening and I texted my ex male best friend. It was late and I didn't know he went out with some people. So normally I would ask him if he would like to hang out again like in the 'old days' after we had our big fight. His answers were just "why" or "what" and it just pissed me off. Like, he could easily say no or yes, right? I would be satisfied either way. In the end, I just didn't have the nerve for his little "game" anymore, so I answered to one of his why's "because you're a ridiculous bastard". Finally, he typed something different than just these two words. They were laughs... many laughs. After that, he told me to fck myself and stopped to bother him. Well.. since then, I sometimes think about that incident. Was I too harsh? (Sorry for my bad english)

Sounds like you were putting in all the effort with getting little in return. And if this almost sums up your entire relationship I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Don't dwell on it too much dear. If he cared he could have just as easily took it in a jokingly way and apologised for being distant or made an excuse.

Sounds to me to be the typical male way of dealing with someone they've lost affection/ attraction/ love/ whatever; almost ignore them until the other person resolves it themselves.
