Why is he acting silly all a sudden?

there's this guy I'm kind of seeing, and he's told me how he feels about me. We've hung out so many times, only made out but never had sex. We had our first kiss on our seventh date, and nothing else happened. We're very fond of each other, and have been vulnerable to each other already. He told me yesterday he can't wait to "make love to me", and when I accused him of only wanting to sleep with me, he got hurt, and said we should stay platonic cause he doesn't want to lose me over something silly. We got over it, and decided not to be platonic, and throughout the day he seemed fine, now he's acting silly, and being very childish, and almost guarded. What made him start acting differently.

I think you misinterpreted him when he said that "he can't wait to make love to you". From his perspective he meant that whenever the time comes that you two finally have sex, it will be a wonderful time. That statement was one of looking into the future rather than requesting for sex on that same day.

Oh. Thats hard to tell. If you're not comfortable yet just tell him you're not ready. There's absolutely NO way you could know if he just wants sex. It's always a gamble. If he's willing to wait 4 months, maybe it would seem he's not just there for sex, but he could also just be fucking on the side to by time for him to reach his goal with you. That would be irrational, but you can't really prove his motive. If you're not ready, fine. That's all that needs to be said. But try to view him as a different person. Past experiences shape our view on the world but try to keep in mind he's a different person with different thoughts and different motives.
