Earlier this year I was due to spend a night with a guy I really liked. We would message everyday but he never really had the time for me. He would always be busy ( he does have a busy life but he never really wanted to go for a bite to eat or catch a film or anything like that).
A week before we were due to spend the night together he messaged me and said he didn't feel it was right which at the time I felt the same and felt it was a silly idea to go ahead with it as well. For about 3 months after we didn't talk at all. All of a sudden he added me on instergram and started liking my stories then we got talking again he will message me everyday to see how I am but before he would go days without messaging me. We have been to the cinema together and even though he is really busy at the moment he is making the effort to go out for a bite to eat with me next Friday and to the theatre and we are also making plans for a cinema trip in the New year. I'm trying to understand what has changed and why all of a sudden he has made contact again and wanting to hang out when he never did before
Any advice would be great. I have never been in this situation before. Thank you

It sounds like he just got cold feet, and was afraid he might not be able to live up to his own expectations.
