B) To try and remember how we know each other from.

C) Bored, no one else to talk atm.

D) To get your attention fast.

E) To annoy you.

A text message doesn't really mean anything in my eyes. You know communication through our mouth still works right?

I think you're over analyzing. It's a pretty neutral greeting, like "sup" or "what's new". Just means he wants to talk. Whether that's good or bad is up to you.

It's a what's up sort of greeting. Although, I think he could add a bit more to it lol.

If a guy opens a text with "hey you" that means he had a hard time coming up with a pet name lol.
