What does it mean when a guy sends you a heart?

Recently it was my crushes birthday so I decided to wish him a happy birthday. I honestly didn’t think he’d respond back along with a thank you and heart ❤️. He seems to appreciate the compliments I give him but when I tried saying hi he doesn’t reply. But will respond if I compliment him or make a comment on what he puts on social media. To me that seems to mean that he must only find me attractive and no interest if that might make sense. No quite sure but we’ll see. Has this happened to anyone before?

If I were to send that to someone I wasn't dating, and can't say I have or honestly even would, cuz like you said, it messes with your head, it would just mean "heartfelt thanks" or "Thank you, that means a lot to me" or something like that. I wouldn't send it to say (or even suggest) that I like you "like that."

But I'm with you. He really shoulda just left that out.
