He has also called me other names like cutie, pumpkin. We have known each other for a little while now and lets just say there was some history between us. We never got to the relationship part of things.

I keep telling him goodbye but i keep messaging him and he said "theres my girl" . He tells me he wants me to go but if he did why would he call me nicknames?

You are asking the wrong people. Ask him. It sounds like he's saying this hoping that you will confirm it. What do you want from him? Tell him directly what it would take for you to really be his girl.
