Are there still guys out there who don’t just want sex after a few months of knowing a girl?

It feels like guys who know how to wait don’t exist. Most decent looking and attractive guys just want to have sex and I’m getting sick of seeing everyone of my friends all have sexual relations and they’re like 18. And they’re sexual relations started in high school. Even at school I would hear people like “yeah my first girlfriend was the one I had sex with” and people talking about body counts and i know a lot of my friends that have boyfriends that aren’t even good friends and haven’t known each other for so long and are already having sex.

I don’t want to meet a guy to date, I want to meet a guy to be his friend first and eventually be the person who will be there for him when he’s down, the person he laughs with the most and Feels the happiest with, I want to be his best friend first before a relationship. Then after being in a relationship for 5 years at least I would consider losing my virginity to him. He most likely has to put a ring on it first too.

I see most guys here already told you how unrealistic it is to want all that especially these days. Sex is just so available, why would a guy give you 5 years of platonic relationship and then commit to marry you before you give him your "virginity"?
Well virginity is not something guys hang on walls, it's an outdated concept. Now it's just the state before sex and normal people are no longer virgins.

Now let me talk about the sex itself regardless of the relationship. While it's important to want to be with a good guy in the long run, sex also happens to be a basic human desire and sometimes a need too. You shouldn't be afraid of having sex just for the fun of it, it's not that big of a deal. It's not a blood ritual that you can perform once on a full moon. Sex eventually becomes like going to the gym, an activity that you can enjoy.

Take some good advice and don't complicate your life so much, sex is fun don't miss out on it waiting for prince charming. Haven't you heard? They say chivalry is dead anyway.

The new normal is sad. It’s not a need literally anyone can wait. Guys are just thirsty af. I know so many girls who haven’t even had sex yet or are like “I really want to fuck a guy” however that’s only what guys think. This world is just something else now. It’s not that I never want to have sex. I just want to have sex with the guy I know will be my life partner and won’t just leave me after the relationship was based on sex.

Though, I understand it can be hard when the option is right in front of you and hormones are convincing you that you love the person even though you've only known them for a week.

EXACTLY! I’ve known so many people’s relationship ended was because of sex it’s ridiculous and sad. I want to know a guy and have a real friendship. I actually have friends who I feel like their relationship is more based on sex then an actual relationship where they have things in common and can be the happiest together.

You want the guy to wait 5 years, without any kind of real commitment from you, AND you want him to pledge to marry you before you'll give him physical affection? I think you didn’t understand what I meant. Of course I wanted a committed relationship first. I’ll do anything someone would do in a relationship except for sex in that committed relationship. Ah, thank you for clarifying. What I'm saying still applies though; you have to be bringing something more to the table. There are definitely guys who are down to do that, but they are rare. Because they are rare, you have to make sure that you catch the eye of those guys.

Hell yeah I don’t want to lose my virginity to some guy I may not be compatible with for the rest of my life. Seems like this generation only cares about sex. I know a lot more girls who are ok with waiting than guys. All guys want and need apparently is sex. That’s so thirsty and sad. It’s like losing your virginity is not a big deal. Like I said, sex is easy and most people realized that sex is fun and want to do it more often, so you have to bring something new and unique to the table to compete with the women who aren't going to wait 5 years before having sex.

You shouldn't blame everyone else for having different views or this generation for being more sexually free, you should blame yourself for even giving a shit. There's enough guys who are willing to wait, you just gotta be able to find them. It's a specific trait, so it's gonna be tough. Again, I wish you the best of luck.

Newsflash, guys do not want to be friend zoned, they wanna be in a relationship, so I wouldn't count on that mindset in terms of a relationship standpoint. If I was pursuing a girl and she said that she would want to be friends, that is registered as a clear rejection and I am moving on.

Then 4. 3 years is a little because you never know if something may go down hill or if you can even stand living with a person. I don’t want to lose my virginity to anyone. I want to make sure it’s the person who I’ll be spending the rest of my life with.
