Did he blow me off or am I overreacting?

I've been seeing this guy for 7 months now and we usually see eachother every weekend once a week and he's usually the one to initiate contact to meet up. He wanted to see me last week but something came up that he had to handle so he said he wanted to hangout another day which i was ok and understanding about. This week on new years day I decided to see if that night would be ok to hangout and he said he would let me know if he could/had some time since he was currently on his way to his uncles for dinner and he would text me in an hour (this is around 8pm). So basically he never texted me back but viewed my message and its the next day yet he's actively checking my social media... im really disappointed and confused but im also not sure if im just overreacting since he's usually very open and honest with me. should I give him time to reach back to me. Help?

My alarms would also start beeping if I did not get an answer within a reasonable time. But no need to tell him in a harsh way. Maybe tell him you got disappointed that he did not respond, and you still would really like to find a day to see each other.
If you want to see him I do not see a need to wait. If he is busy with other stuff or whatever HE needs to tell you. You should not guess it from him being impolite and not getting back to you.

Wow this site is really interesting. I just joined. I don't know how to be polite in English so I'm sorry if this sounds rude. My English is still being worked on but you sound too desperate for his attention. This is viewed as a turn off by many guys. You can take a few steps back because it's not even a relationship yet from what ir sounds like I believe?

Im not desperate for anything from him lol i just miss him since we haven't seen eachother for 2 weeks, we have both been busy so i decided to reach out to him to make plans.

Oh okay. I'm sorry but to answer your question. Yes, you should give some time for him to respond. If he doesn't respond back within a reasonable time frame then remind him. Simple

its hard to say. Maybe he forgot to send a text that night/got busy? It doesn't hurt to text--better yet call him back.
