Why is he acting weird all of a sudden and how do I make it less awkward between us?

We work together but not closely (known each other but not as friends for few years). One day he was standing by the office and I walked around the corner and suddenly he became happy to see me and leaned in while walking past me we were just staring at each other like time had stopped, he smiled and said hello but that was it, he walked away. Now a few months down the line we give each other longer eye contact than usual. He literally walks away when I go near him that I can't start a conversation and he acts so nervous, I never seen him so nervous before I always thought he was confident. Now it feels awkward between us. I don't want a relationship with him and this guy knows my boyfriend. So why acting weird and why now?

Today he just acted normal, and now I think was it all in my mind. We never get a chance to chat as he's always busy chatting to other work colleagues regarding work and never seems to be alone. I should drop it now but I just find it frustrating as I would like to know (probably just for my ego)

I can't stop thinking about him, I used to like him ages ago but I suppressed my feelings for him as I thought he didn't like me like that. Now all my feelings for him have come back

Yea we don't see each other often and when we do it's brief. Yea just hope he stops being nervous around me and we go back to normal

He might have a crush on you and knows your taken, and that is why it feels awkward.

Yea, he works closely with my boyfriend so I understand the awkwardness. It's just happened all of a sudden.

Yea he could have as thinking back he never ever mentioned my boyfriend name or how he is whereas all the other blokes do. And he never attends events if he knows if we are both there or when he did attend the Christmas party it was towards the end. And I swear my boyfriend once said years ago that this bloke cares for me but I didn't find it weird at the time so didn't say much about it but now I wonder what my boyfriend meant by he cares for me.

Yea he did say years ago to my boyfriend that he finds me sweet but I didn't take much notice. When this weird thing happened recently I did say I think someone fancies me at work to my boyfriend (I didn't know for certain if he did or not I just wanted to be honest) and I said I didn't want to mention names as I didn't want him to be awkward with his colleague but my boyfriend never asked any questions or asked who it was just said it was normal. So now I'm thinking he knows who it is
