My closest guy friend invited me to his house for the first time. Does he like me?

Backstory: we’ve been friends for 3yrs at uni and he’s never invited anyone to his place because he lives with his grandma and sister.
Not even his x girlfriend (our mutual friend) was at his place.
All of a sudden he invited me to his house to play games...
which we’ve never done before and I’m thinking “is he trying to get closer to me or he’s just being friendly?”

Definitely don't assume, but if you like him, you should definitely tell him. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose. If he didn't like you back, I promise, you will have lost nothing, and still gained some knowledge that will help you look elsewhere for dating. But if he does like you too, then you guys get to explore a new area of your relationship.

If you only like him as a friend, then continue to treat him like a friend. If he tells you he likes you, tell him you only like him as a friend. There's nothing wrong with this scenario.

I know it can seem stressful thinking about these scenarios, but just make the logical and healthy decision and everything will be fine.
