How can I get my crush to talk to me when this other girl is around?

I have a class with my crush for a month so I thought it would be a great time to get him to notice me. We interacted for the first two days through a mutual friend but it wasn't a full blown conversation. On the third day a girl he knows well joined the class and Im not a fan of her. He spent most of the class speaking to her. Im afraid that all the classes will be like this. Is there anything I can do Ps I would rather not interact with this girl

If it's his friend, you're probably going to have to but you don't because you're jealous. Just start talking to him and ask him questions. Try to direct his attention to you. Don't be rude to her or cut her off but let it be known subtly that you're in charge and you only want him to be focused on you.

Thanks... we've had about 2 conversations alone recently and the rest in a group setting with her. For now she has the upper hand because I notice she carries him home from school and I don't drive. Ill just try to speak with him and direct the conversation to me subtly so it doesn't look like I'm fighting for his attention. At this point I'll just go with the flow hoping he sees something in me that draws his attention

Here's a good tip. Everyone loves talking about themselves. Ask him questions about his hobbies. Let him talk and explain them to you. Take interest in them. Do some slight research and then come back to him with what you found and ask him some more questions. It'll get his attention immediately.

You’re going to have to approach him and get his attention by initiating a more interesting convo with him and maintaining it.

It’s not hard to do this, though- I did it plenty of times when I was your age.
