I've never met him irl.
He got a girlfriend and suddenly deleted me from Facebook. I am kind of sad. Why would he do that?

Because a womans sadness may cause her to communicate irrationally. Those that cope well with rejection usually dont need validation. If you have valuable qualities then there's no point in being sad about him choosing her over you. You never met him in the first place
