i usually act uncomfortable and awkward, like looking around the room, figgity, avoid eye contact with her... my voice goes quiet and unconfident... and i try to leave the room and escape from her presence... i might even sweat too

If a guy is intimidated that is not a good thing. Intimidation is never good, because they see you as somebody as the source of their pain, insecurity, a possible enemy, and stress. Especially for men. They tend to avoid you as much as possible. It is not a good way regardless if they are attracted or not. They are often not interested in being attracted to you or want to date you.

Guys who have "crushes" are NOT intimidated. Neither is shy guys. They have to have logical reasons depending on the personality on why they should pursue or not. If they don't want to, then you are wasting your time. They eventually put in effort depending on if they are interested or not. That goes for women too for guys, but for males, it is contingent if they feel safe around you and want the same thing because some may not be interested in a serious relationship. They act like they don't want to be around you. Period. So don't expect too much out of it before you get heartbroken and confused.
