This guy acts REAALLY weird and nervous around me and I don't know what to do.. Help??

So this geeky but cute guy in college acts really weird around me. I've noticed him staring at me since the start of college, I mean literally, turning around from his seat and looking at me.

After class, if he is walking ahead of me then he would slow down so that he can walk along with me but he doesn't say a word.

We were once standing in a queue to submit a form and I was standing way behind him but went ahead of him because my bestfriend let me come in between but he really got mad at me in a non-serious way and told me to go back and then he just pushed me away with his shoulders and everyone was like wtf?

Once I was filling my bottle and he just pushed my bottle away and said that he was there first.

So one day I went upto him and started talking to him but he seemed kind of arrogant and I didn't talk to him after that and also told a common friend that he seems like an asshole and the next week this guy comes up to me and apologizes (we barely know each other) and says that he's just shy and that he has a weird tone of speaking and that people mistake him as arrogant because of that and blah blah.

He just seems like really nervous, fidgetty, confused when he's around me. Another time he was standing next to me and was staring at me and when I turn and look at him, he immediately looks away.

Ahhhh I am getting irritated by this weird behavior. He is a really intelligent guy so why does he act so dumb? He keeps acting so mean and immature around me. What should I do?

Same here girlfriend. My awkward dude, whom I only insult, announces to the whole classroom that I'll be his future girlfriend, bear in mind, this is college. We never really speak. He acts indifferent, then really flirty too. I think that his apologizing was him acknowledging that he acted like a 1st grader with a crush. Guys are ridiculous. They do DUMB stuff, regardless of their inner intelligence. If he's nice, be nice back. If he's rude again- ask him what his problem is, besides the dumb excuse that he's shy. Being shy is not an excuse for rudeness. I think he likes you, he just finds you intimidating and wants your attention, hence the rude gestures.

i think its because he have different sides of him and I think that he is more comfortable being that way around you. also you should ask him why he act they we he do and why is he like that.

he is just trying to act cool and some ways he might be trying to test you to see if you would give int o a dumb boy.
