So this guy would come up in my recommended friends/people you may know on Instagram and Facebook, and I remembered always thinking he was cute in high school but I never told him due to social anxiety. I forgot about this crush I had until I recently started seeing his name pop up everywhere.
We graduated together and shared a lot of the same friends and I wanted to send a dm on Instagram. I don't know how to go about this, but I wanted to say something amongst the lines of “hey I’m pretty sure we haven’t spoken we graduated high school in the same year. You knew some of the same people I knew so I saw you around a lot and I thought you were cute. Never got the chance to say hi, so I guess it’s better now than never.”
Would this be a bad idea? It’s not a random person because we went to school together but at the same time we’ve never spoken. I don’t know how a guy would respond if they got this type of message from a girl, especially one that says they went to school together and he never spoke to, but I, willing to take that chance. Is there anything I should change? Thank you for your help!
