I need boy advice! What should be my next step?

So there's this guy I work with. I've known him since I started working there and always thought he was cute. I just never had the chance to really get to know him because he worked in a different area than me.

For a few weeks we worked in the same area and it was a great experience. We bonded over similar music tastes and found out we have a lot in common. And last week he was telling a co-worker about how him and I just click. I find that in a crowded room our eyes just are drawn to each other. It's magnetic. He's even said our eyes are like magnets. He makes me smile and I find that we are usually smiling when we talk to each other.

I just don't know what step I should take to find out if he likes me romantically. Because to me the clicking thing and everything else could just be friendship. And then I don't want to make a fool of myself for reading into his words. He went back to working in his old area now so I don't see him as often but we still stop and talk in the hallway when we can. I know he's been single for a while and I saw him on a dating app so it's not like he's taken 🤷‍♀️

he likes you.
Don't stress over it so much.

Say "we should hang out sometime"
He will say yes.
It will probably go great.

I don't know any guys who sit around and talk about how their eyes are "magneticly drawn" to a girl who they "just click" with and mean that in a platonic way.

He likes you. He's probably afraid to ask you out for the same reason. A lot of guys get their hopes up over cute co-worker, ask them out and get in trouble for sexual harassment. But you can't go wrong saying "we should hang out sometime"

If he asks "you mean like a date or?"
Just say yes, like a date.
If he doesn't mention it, just go hang out and see how it goes. 9/10 it goes great and he'll ask you next time.

Thank you for the honest advice! I'm stuck in my head a lot over this so I've been thinking of ways to take baby steps to find out what he's thinking lol I was debating asking a question about something in his tinder bio and seeing if that leads to some more insight but I might have to just jump in and ask him to hang out lol

That's also a good option. Let him know you saw him and read his profile. 😉

But at the same time, it could be awkward. And if you didn't match on tinder it could come across as making fun of him instead of flirting.

I think your best bet is to ask him to hang out outside of work. If by some outside chance he says no, you'll have your answer without causing trouble.

But, I'm confident he will say yes and I bet it will go great. Sounds like you both really like eachother and get along really well! 😊

Well today we were messaging back and forth about a show we both really like and I suggested we watch the new season together when it comes out and he said for sure so I'm quite happy right now:)

You don't know if he has a girlfriend or not. You are assuming, which girls tend to do when they want to see something a certain (meaning their) way.

No I know he does because he doesn't post anything about one on social media and he's also flat out said I'm single a couple times

So because he doesn't post about one on social media means he doesn't have one? You really think about that one again. Him saying he was single doesn't mean much either. Unless he said it yesterday.

Everywhere it says he is single. He has been for over a year. Last time he was in a relationship he posted about her all over social media. I also know his sister and she says he's single. And just the other day he was saying how he was home alone most of the summer because his roommate was out travelling and he didn't take advantage of that by having someone over to his place. I am prone to anxiety and I have no anxiety over him having a girlfriend because the proof is there that he doesn't.

Social media is not 'proof' of anything. But believe what you want.
