If you always take 24 hours to respond to a DM are you romantically uninterested?

Basically trying to feel out an acquaintance he is not someone I’m dating. Trying to decide if I should let off him. He always reads the message immediately but takes a while to respond. He is joking around with me but doesn’t ask me questions about myself. It’s that grey area.

Not replying to a message right away doesn’t mean someone isn’t interested they could have quickly checked the message while at work and wasn’t able to reply while some people are under the impression if you reply too quickly it shows you are desperate and don’t have a life and they believe replying too fast will turn some people off

Regarding your question if someone isn’t asking you questions about yourself than I would say that could be a sign the person isn’t interested in you that way
