Why would a guy not answer my texts for hours (makes him seem uninterested) but then sends me a newspaper article link?

The guy answers my texts every 4-5 hours which makes him seem uninterested in talking to me. I had accepted the fact that he was uninterested then out of nowhere he sends me a link to a newspaper article. Like what does that even mean? If he is not interested in talking to me then why send me that link? I can read the newspaper myself

some people have a life outside of typing on their phone.
That kind of time frame is not unusual at all for me.
If you feel the need to talk why not call.
You can say what you want to say and then some way faster than texting.
Maybe ask him, in person why it takes so long, that you feel that it is important that he get back to you sooner, and ask him if he is just unable at times to text someone.

I don’t even know… It makes no sense. Maybe he didn’t know what to say and thought sending something you could read, would make you bring up a topic to talk about?


Reminds me of my ex. He wouldn’t text me for hours and then send me a random picture of an article, Lol.

Maybe you need to ask what he is doing? If it sounds like something he’d be busy with then that’s probably the case. If he is just watching television then he probably isn’t interested.
