Guys did your father ever show you affection?

The reason I ask is because, I have read of guys opinions on here. About they hardly get affection and claim “girls have it easy by being loved by everyone.” That I question if guys ever got affection by both of their parents, including their father. Since I see men as mysterious and closed off, like they are hiding their own heart ❤️. Which makes me curious if guys ever got affection, especially by a father figure.

Also, with your dad giving you affection: do you think it changed you as a man?

Yes I did get some. But I wasn´t keen on actually getting that. My problem rather was that I always was compared to other males in the family or my young sister that were better in school. My whole school time I always felt the focus being on my bad marks while the strengths I was good being for granted or left aside.
If I brought home good marks in subjects like history, religion or polictics and economy that was answered with kind of a short praise but the real focus always were my weak spots in school.
My parents organized other people to help without waiting for me to ask for help, when other kids went to sport clubs I went to additional teachers to raise my marks. Don´t get me wrong I´m grateful that they helped and I had a good exam living school that opened to many good job chances.
But on the other hand that led to the phenomen that to this day I don´t have much problems to name you my weak spots while having a hard time saying what I´m actually good at.

I had a great father. I don't see what my relationship with him had to do with the way women treat guys. Lol
