Guy's Behavior

He never talks to me but read my messages, should I keep chasing him or focus on myself now?

I have a deep crush on a guy, he was interested but told me that there is another girl... I was so attracted that I started talking to him daily and was looking at his profile regularly, I felt something was wrong so I blocked him. Then I unblocked him, he got mad and blocked me. While talking to a friend of mine I understood that he could let go of his ex who left him since 2 years prior and he flew back to his parents home following the rejection. I felt sad and used my second profile and started messaging him, giving him moral support. Everyday I wrote him for 1 1/2 year, he would read my messages but never reply he spoke about me to his friends & colleagues and they would add me however he stood me up on a date. twice our path crossed in real life... once I walked up to him and he was super shy (I got more shy) and the second time we would flirt together. The one day he blocked me, his ex is back after 4 years... I tried my best to prevent him from going back and even contacted his parents (even if they did not know me but we shared acquaintances) to request their intervention. Since he wanted out of the relationship so he told them the bad side of my family and his father decided to prosecute me (I think he thought that I lied, this became talk of the town and I went into emotional distress). My crush flew to go study abroad and his ex flew to the same country to a close-by university. Today he left his ex at the request of a friend because I chased him but he still read my messages and does not reply however he talks about me to his cousins etc because I see them viewing my profile. Should I keep chasing him or focus on myself now?
