I have a few friends who have multiple cats. I don’t get it, but I will accept it. I’d rather have something that actually likes me, somewhat appreciates me, and doesn’t purposely try to destroy anything nice that I own. A REAL pet.
If I wanted someone to ignore me every time I come home, barely show any affection, break my stuff, and generally act like I’m there to serve them, and claw me any time I try to get close… I’d just get married.
Only naughty cats would behave this way. My cat has never ruined any of my stuff and she could never think of scratching me or strangers. I have friends whose dogs have bitten their shoes to pieces!
I like cats, but I don't think I could handle more than two. Some people just go overboard, and don't know when to stop collecting them, and they don't seem to realise (or care) that having too many of them (like ten) isn't healthy, because even though they're much cleaner than dogs they'll still end up stinking out the place.
Don't really care. I have the same policy for them as I do cat ladies. I'll come into your house so long as it does not smell like really dirty litter box. If it does we can hang out in your front or back yard or at the nearest park.
I don't keep them but I rescue and foster them then give them out to homes. So the numbers vary, sometimes 2 sometimes 5. Currently, I have 3, two kittens one mom. Sometimes some stray cats or other neighbors' cats visit for snacks.
If it's his job.. I wouldn't mind if the cats are friendly...
If he is temporarily rehabilitating a new cat each time.. no problem...
But otherwise I think he can't give attention to too many cats at the same time... sure not all cats want attention but many do want temporarily... I guess they have each other? But some cats still specifically want hooman's attention
It's a joke.. but the ones I've known here in Milwaukee are kinda creepy. I had an alley cat in my garage and named her after the food I fed her. Sheba. She had kittens and I had to take them to the local animal shelter.
I absolutely LOVE your username! My father and I restored an 85 Trans Am GTA, what a stunningly beautiful car! I wish they still made cars with T-Tops! There is just something about taking the tops off, stowing them in the trunk, and driving topless, but still feeling the safety and security of something over your head to protect you in case of a rollover! Seriously, just a stunning car! Especially with upgraded suspension, brakes, steering, and a modern 550hp corvette engine under the hood! (Tbh, it may have been an ‘86/87 now that i think about it, but I stand by my initial opinion).
@CrazyGirl2 That's awesome! I was born in '85 and my godmother had 2 Firebirds that she would drive me around in everywhere! We'd go to drive in movies and it was fun w/the T-top in the summer. My mother had a Bonneville station wagon b/c my brother and I lol! I think that's so cool that you get to fix up cars w/your dad. I would've loved to have had that opportunity, but my dad wasn't around.
Thank you @transam85f or sharing that lovely story. It really sucks about your dad, I’m sorry you’re parents split-up! Several of my friends were in the same situation, and if I ever got mad at my dad, my friends would quickly pull me back to reality, with “at least you HAVE a dad!” I LOVED helping him. After restoring a ‘70s Jeep CJ5, I was in love! I knew that I wanted one, and began dropping hints! My friends were all getting new Mercedes & BMW’s for THEIR sweet 16, but all I wanted was an old beat-up jeep! BOY, did I get what I asked for, it was JUST a shell on wheels. But my dad and I got right to work he made sure I did the bulk of work, he wanted me to know everything about that Jeep, after a month it looked like a real Jeep, but It still didn’t have an engine! I asked when we’d get an engine, he said it was already here and pointed to piles boxes of parts and a crate, and told me that I would be BUILDING the motor! Although he helped me if I got lost, I did 95% of the build. I couldn’t believe that I actually built a modded corvette motor, (modded to be LESS powerful. He wasn’t crazy enough to put a 700hp motor in his inexperienced daughter’s Jeep!) Finally we put the motor in, and and started it! I was ecstatic, I’d hear it running and think “I made that!” Oh, and my friends always argued to see who got to drive to the beach with ME in my cute little Jeep! You have reminded me that I have been SO blessed in my life, despite the Life’s Worth of trauma I’ve survived… I wouldn’t change a thing if it meant not having my dad around. Thanks for that gift of reliving it for a few minutes. I am sorry that your dad wasn’t around. That really truly sucks, that just because things didn’t work out with your parents, he still wasn’t in YOUR life! @CrazyGirl2 U rebuilt an engine urself? My 45 yr old husband dk how to do that. He can do basics like intake, spark plugs, etc, but not the whole thing! He does transmissions. R u going to school for that or u already have ur license? That is so cool! BMW's and Mercedes are like Gucci and Versace. U just paying for the name. Their transmissions cannot be rebuilt, they're called a CVT, and the parts, such as an axel, are extreme prices that only the dealer can get. That axel costed $600! But it wasn't my car.. I member it was a newer '16 338xi something like that. POS.. I hope u do something w/ur knowledge w/cars, especially since ur young and u probably know more about this technology. 😊
Actually, I’m currently going to college to get my PhD in clinical psychology. (Well i only just started, and just finishing up my freshman yr) When I first started I wasn’t sure if I would get just my masters, or go or my PhD, but I’ve finally decided. I am going to practice in the specialty of rape and incestuous sexual abuse) I was raped on my 13th birthday my my uncle, he continued to rape me almost every week day for three months, when after missing my 2nd period, I went to my mother to tell her what was happening to me, and obviously he was arrested! As for my knowledge of cars… I wouldn't want to do it for a living as it would stop being a fun hobby if I did it for a living, it would be just like going to work. I may do like my dad has done, he has a collection of super-cars, mostly vintage Ferraris, but he has some Lamborghinis, an original Ford GT 40, and cobra, as well as a Shelby Cobra Daytona (which is a coupe version of the roadster. I would rather do that with American classic muscle cars, and pony cars though. I’ve driven plenty of Ferraris and Lambos, my dad even took me to Las Vegas, and we rented a Ferrari La Ferrari, and a Lamborghini Huracan, and we raced them at the race track out in the desert! So much fun! But the cost to maintain them is outrageous, and my dad’s trust is a lot more than mine, and although I won my uncles trust fund, I promised to use that for strictly philanthropic endeavors, mostly involving preteen, and early to mid-teen girls who have been the victim of incestuous rape & sexual abuse, as well as human trafficking of underage girls! Im sick of hearing about the historic “stain” of slavery… Slavery is happening RIGHT NOW, in the USA, and all around the world, girls as young as 3 and women are sold into sexual slavery every single day, TODAY! Not 200yrs ago!
