Why do people blast their music so the whole street and everybody can hear it in their homes?

Someone has been blasting Celine Dion and Whitney Houston lately. So annoying. They keep repeating I Will Always Love You.

Not to mention that multiple other people love to blast their annoying Hispanic music day and night.

Get a grip, nobody is impressed or wants to hear you party to gibberish music. Maybe get a job?
I am wondering how many of these types of people even work because they seem to be partying constantly and hang out on the street when it's warm out. Goodness gracious.

I will admit when I was younger I was blastin my heavy metal and vulgar rap music and WANTED everyone to hear it. So yeah. But now that I am a working adult, I don't want to come home to rest and have to hear a bunch of annoying loud music.

You know.. stuff like this makes me start to hate those Houston and Dion singers. I used to like Whitney.

I wish I knew. Some day, I'll buy a bagpipe, and start carrying it around with me. And whetever I encounter one of those people who think we desperately need to hear rap music blasted at a volume that'd be uncomfortable in our own cars from 80 feet away (it's not even that it's music I don't like; it's never anything insightful or profound or beautiful- even Beethoven at ear-melting volume would get annoying, but just last nighh, I was stuck at a shoplight across the street from a guy who's car kept blasting, at a volume so loud I was wincing, the phrase, quote "all my niggas smokin' weed" over and over and OVER again.

That's not exactly Shakespeare, you know?

Haha, I know what you mean. I'm just glad I no longer have that bug that makes me want to blast rap music. Lets be glad.

Maybe they're in love and suffering from a broken heart.
In some of the other cases, it's just that some people really love their fave music and kinda want others to hear it. Maybe they're just lonely and want to share their music with SOMEONE! When I was a kid, I had a record player that had an extension speaker in the lid so, I would take off the lid and put it in the hall outside my room so mom could hear this great music I was listening to. I had no one else to share it with (I still don't!). Problem was, mom didn't like that music!!
Obviously, you did the same thing so, look back at why you did it (as I just did) and there's your answer.

I was wondering too if they are in love and lost their man. And yes I was and am lonely! You poor thing about the mom thing... Yep. I guess that's why we do it!

Thank you! About the only time I WASN'T lonely is when I had my future ex-fiance in the `90's!! Now that my entire immediate family is gone, I have no one, anymore!

I think someone actually did that one night. Someone was blasting an audio book super loudly... It was ridiuclous. Then soon after someone started-- blasting isn't even the right word -- It was the loudest i probably ever heard music coming from outside into my bedroom. It sounded like it was literally right outside my window.
